About the 10^th Edition of “Best Law Firms”

Each year for the last decade, U.S. News – Best Lawyers® has collected comprehensive data and survey information from law firms across the country. In order to be eligible for a National or Metropolitan tier ranking on the “Best Law Firms” list, each firm must submit a completed survey along with multiple client and professional references. The firm must also have at least one attorney who has been recognized in the most current edition of Best Lawyers.

Once all of the surveys have been submitted and reviewed, theBest Lawyers team draws on both qualitative and quantitative data to generate a “Best Law Firms” score for every candidate. With a high enough score, a firm may qualify for a tier ranking. For metropolitan regions, these tiers number from 1 to 3, with 1 being the optimal result.
